Ash Arya

Author

Ash Arya writes fantasy and science fiction inspired by the rich cultural heritage of her homeland of India to tell universal stories that center grand heroic moments as well as everyday emotions...

About

Ash Arya was born and raised in Delhi, India, where her love of stories from mythology and history led her to pursue an MA in Literature. Now, she blends the said love and education to create flawed characters navigating dilemmas—both ethical and emotional—in magical-but-imperfect worlds that are balanced on hope.As someone who has lived with a visual disability all her life, she writes about people whom the society typically deems lesser but who defy those low expectations and emerge as inspiring individuals and leaders. Her stories imbibe her diverse taste in fiction, often combining the epic heroism of western fantasy classics like the Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games, or Star Wars, the emotional realism of Kdramas, and the philosophical musings found in ancient Indian epics like the Mahabharat and the Puranas.
